Conclusion
Throughout this topic you will learn a brief history of Medieval Europe through the undertaking of self directed learning from a range of provided sources. Most importantly though, you will become familiar with the rationale behind the construction and fortification of castles. You will learn the construction processes undertaken in the building of a medieval castle, and also the rational behind the various parts which prominently feature on many of Europes most famous castles. In addition to this research you will then apply your gained knowledge practically, by designing and constructing your own real life model castle.
