MEDIEVAL CASTLE QUEST

PROCESS 

 The task requires you and your knights to design and build a castle.

 

1. Use the castle building application to explain why and where you are building the castle list the defensive and offensive features that you will include on your castle. After you have listed your features and building materials submit it to you teacher for approval then begin the design process.

2. There are many resources in the sources tab at the top of the page that will help you in researching different layouts and designs of castles. Researching and analyzing features of castle construction may also help you with (part 4. writing task)

3. You should then design your castle  and label its features on A3 paper, including a drawing of the front, side and a map of the floor plan. It needs to be a detailed drawing which includes features such as doors, windows, parapets, defensive and offensive features, etc. features of the castle must be visible and clearly labeled.

Clue: use your glossary at the top of the page to help you find features/terms to add to your castle design.

Clue: there are many examples of floor plans available under the resources tab at the top of the page.

  • the weapons and strategies used to attack castles.
